Bananas continue to be the highest selling line in all fresh produce departments throughout Australia.The Costa Group recognised an opportunity in 1995 to source bananas from North Queensland and ripen them in Victoria according to our customers requirements. Purpose built warehouse and ripening facilities maximise the ability to source bananas throughout the year from different production regions around Australia. Lovetts Bananas dedicated personnel follow a strict food safety program fully endorsed by HACCP Australia to ensure that all produce reaches the customer in excellent condition. The base in the Melbourne Markets ensures Lovetts are close to their customers and are able to give customers a guaranteed source of supply for 12 months of the year. These facilities are able to hold and ripen fruit according to customer requirements of quality, quantity and conditioning. The knowledge our customers have of our excellent food safety program and the outstanding grower relationships we have built up over the years, means we can continue to achieve our goals to provide our customers with the highest possible levels of service and supply required.
